Committee Meeting on 6 Oct 2011
The third meeting of the 2011/2012 Committee and the sixth committee meeting for the year 2011, was held on Thursday, 6th October 2011 at 1100 hours at the Meeting Room, Airod Business Centre, Airod Complex, Subang. 12 Committee Members were present with Jen Tan Sri Mohd Ghazali bin Dato' Mohd Seth, (Bersara), President of RAFOC, as Chairman. Two other members and our RAFOC Executive Secretary were in attendance.
Before the meeting, Tan Sri Ahmad bin Johan, Executive Chairman of the NADI Group, Committee Member, gave a thorough briefing to the Committee on the NADI Group, its background, current activities and future direction. It was good to know that an organization, headed and managed by retired Armed Forces officers, is running well and heading towards a global recognition.
The meeting received the reports from the Honorary Secretary on the general administration of RAFOC and the Honorary Treasurer on the financial situation of RAFOC. The meeting reviewed the activities held during the third quarter of 2011 and discussed the coming activities to be held during the fourth quarter of 2011. The meeting also deliberated on various matters related to RAFOC, its members and the retired Armed Forces officers' community. 32 applications for membership for the months of September and October 2011 were also approved. The meeting also approved the appointment of Tan Sri Ahmad bin Johan as a Vice President (which was vacant) and the appointments of Jen Tan Sri Mohd Shahrom bin Dato' Hj Nordin, (Bersara) and Lt Kdr Phua Hean Sim, (Bersara) as Committee Members (which were vacant). All the 17 posts in the Executive Committee are now filled.
After the meeting, the committee members were hosted to lunch by Tan Sri Ahmad bin Johan. Four other retired Armed Forces officers in AIROD also joined in the lunch.
