EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING 02/2014 - TUESDAY 27 MAY 2014
The fourth and last meeting of the 2013/2014 Executive Committee and the second committee meeting for the year 2014, was held on Tuesday, 27 May 2014 from 1100 to 1430 hours at the Meeting Room, Wisma Perwira Angkatan Tentera, Kementerian Pertahanan, Kuala Lumpur. The meeting was chaired by Jen Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohd Ghazali bin Dato' Mohd Seth, (Bersara), our RAFOC President. Present were our Deputy President and nine other committee members. In attendance on invitation were two members of our Appeal Board, one of the two auditiors and two other sub-committee members.
The committee received the reports from the Honorary Secretary on the general administration of RAFOC and from the Honorary Treasurer on the financial situation of RAFOC since the last committee meeting. The meeting reviewed the activities held during the last quarter and discussed on the activities to be held by RAFOC for the remaining year 2014.
The meeting considered and approved 19 new members for the months of February to May 2014 and noted the passing of five members. With the approval of the 19 new members, the total membership now stands at 563 (31 have since left us.)
The meeting also discussed the details on the coming Annual General Meeting, scheduled on Sunday, 22 Jun 2014. A follow up meeting will be held on Monday, 16 Jun 2014 to accept the nominations for the various posts in the Committee to be filled and to discuss resolutions received from members for the meeting, if any.
Mej Jen (Dr) Dato' Sukri bin Hussin, the President of the Mess Committee (PMC) briefed the meeting on the operations and the facilities available at the Wisma Perwira Angkatan Tentera. He also informed that the retired Armed Forces officers' community are invited to join the mess as members to enjoy the facilities available. The membership fee is RM1,000.00.
